Grayling

Grayling are graceful freshwater fish found in cold, clean rivers and lakes across Europe and parts of Asia. Easily recognized by their large, sail-like dorsal fin and shimmering scales, they are considered one of the most beautiful fish in freshwater ecosystems.

Preferring well-oxygenated waters, grayling are sensitive to environmental changes and serve as indicators of healthy river systems. They feed on insects and small invertebrates, often rising to the surface, making them a fascinating species for both anglers and nature enthusiasts.
