The Instructor Evaluation (IE) is the final step of SSI’s 2-Step Instructor Training Approach Divemasters or equivalent-level professionals will have to successfully complete the Instructor Training Course (ITC) first where you’ll learn how to: • Conduct academic sessions • Lead confined water training • Teach Open Water Diver and various Specialty programs like Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress&Rescue, Perfect Buoyancy and more • Develop student management and communication skills Already an experienced instructor with another agency? You may be eligible for shortened oboarding options where you will only have to complete certain parts of the Instructor Training Course (ITC) followed by passing an Instructor Evaluation (IE). The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your dive buddies and become an ambassador for diving by taking the Divemaster program. All you need to get started is 40 logged/verified dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility or at least 5 logged/verified dives of experience in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. You will receive the Dive Guide certification upon successful completion of the Divemaster program. When your interest is to turn your passion into a profession by guiding certified divers, teaching Ecology programs, assisting instructors or even becoming an instructor yourself, your next step is the Divemaster upgrade with a minimum of 60 logged/verified dives. Upgrade to Divemaster immediately or at any time thereafter by studying the Science of Diving materials on your own and passing the Digital Final Exam that makes you an SSI professional. Tour Description Whale Shark Tour Itinerary Our Whale shark tour departs everyday at 8:15 am (meeting time 8:00 am at the dive shop if staying on the island) We provide drinks such as bottled water and sodas. As soon as we arrive to the area we start going in the water two participants at a time with our experienced guide. We will give you all the time you need to swim with them, always taking turns. Our amazing captain does a great job by positioning the boat in a way that the whale shark will pass right next to you when you enter the water! We may also swim with huge mantas, turtles and even dolphins! We never know what the ocean has to offer us each day. After this we will offer you sandwiches while we are returning to the Island. Then we will go to the nicest beach of our island, North Beach where we stop the boat in shallow water for you to relax, take a bath and have a drink while our crew prepares a fresh and delicious ceviche for everybody. After lunch we return to the dock at approximately between 1 and 2 pm. We have vegetarian lunch available. Should there be any special request please let us know and we will do our best to please you. A quick, but breathtakingly beautiful, one-hour boat ride from the docks on Isla Mujeres will put you right within the territory where your trained guide will search out the Whale Sharks and offer you an experience you will NEVER forget.

Cenotes are actually caves or tunnels, which have been created by collapsing limestone rocks and are filled with crystal clear water. Join your guide gliding through this incredible underground journey. Here in mexico is one of the only places where you can discover these amazing cavern areas without any further training than open water diver. Level 1 for open water divers and above. Your first cenotes are always special, discover these larger open chambers of stalagtites and stalagmites, and some passages filled with lazer light displays as beams penetration through the cracks in the surface. This option includes cenotes such as Chac mool or Dos Ojos. You will do 2 dives with your guide at either one of the cenotes. Maximum of 4 divers to each cenote guide.
