This is a freshwater cenote perfect for practicing open water skills for courses that require shallow water. It has a maximum depth of 9m. There is also a cave in this cenote, but this section is only for certified cave divers.
Aquatic life is limited to small freshwater fish, some turtles, and diverse underwater flora which are found in cenotes along the Riviera Maya.
