Extended Range

The SSI Extended Range training program is the core program that all other technical open-circuit programs build on. This program is the start of your exciting journey to become an accomplished tech diver. Using either a sidemount or twinset configuration, this program prepares you to plan and conduct decompression dives to a maximum depth of 45 meters. You will learn the techniques and procedures for using nitrox mixtures of up to 100% oxygen for decompression. You will earn the SSI Extended Range diver certification after completing this program and gain new tech diver knowledge. It is possible to add a trimix upgrade to this course.

If you want to make the most of your bottom time and have more fun on your dives, try underwater scooter or diver propulsion vehicle (DPV) diving. In this underwater scooter and DPV course, you will learn the skills and concepts you need to safely plan and conduct dives using scooters or DPVs. You will learn the special precautions needed for using DPVs, how to maintain buddy contact and how to control your equipment, so you can safely enjoy the new dive experiences DPVs provide. At XR HUB we are using some of the best DPVs on the market (seacraft). We teach you in your preferred configuration and give you the tools to complete safe DPV diving according to your current level.

Dibba Rock has a nice combination of walls, rocks, and sandy slopes with a beautiful coral garden. Depth: 10–40 meters. There is a current, especially during strong tidal changes. Please check the current before starting your dive.

Also known as Russian beach, is a shallow beach entry dive site great for training dives or exploring the little reef that is present on the right side of the breakwater. The reef consists of rock boulders and starts at around 4 meters slope down to around 6 meters of depth.

Originally known as Gray Swift 2, this boat was built in the USA by Halter Marine and shipped to Dubai in the early 70s. She began her service in Ras al-Khaimah and was moved to Dubai in 1991 and renamed Inch Cape 1.

Sharm Rock is located offshore, approximately 15 minutes South of the Meridian Fujairah with a depth of 10 - 22 meters. This dive site is also known as “3 Rocks Pinnacles” or “3 Sisters” because of its three small outcrops of rocks that peek above the surface.

Nice shallow dive site for open water and divers composed rock walls full of coral and sandy bottoms. Swim to the deeper part to find large stingrays feeding on the bottom.In the rocks there is a little swim through which is shallow yet exciting to experience. Hence the name Hole in the Wall.

Explore a stunning underwater attraction that is themed to resemble an abandoned sunken city. It will take several dives to explore this vast underwater city, which is filled with adventure and wonder. The pool is equipped with 56 cameras to ensure safety of the divers. Maximum depth 60m.

Top Wildlife Sightings in United Arab Emirates

The marine life in the United Arab Emirates is diverse, offering encounters with vibrant reef fish and occasional sightings of larger marine animals. Common reef fish include parrotfish, angelfish, and groupers, often seen around the coral reefs of Dibba and Fujairah. These colorful species are a delight for divers and snorkelers, easily encountered in these areas.

Seasonal sightings add excitement, with whale sharks appearing typically between April and July, particularly near the Musandam Peninsula. Green and hawksbill turtles are seen year-round, but nesting is most common from March to June. Rays, including the graceful manta ray, are also spotted, their presence often dependent on water temperature and currents. Divers can expect varied experiences based on the season and dive location, making UAE's waters a dynamic adventure for marine enthusiasts.
