Diver meeting

In the summer months (May - October) we meet every Friday at 5 pm at the diving school for a fun dive, followed by the opportunity to talk shop, plan further activities or have a barbecue together.

We start the open water season with our first dive meeting. As always, after the dive there is the opportunity for a cozy get-together and barbecue.

With the SSI Try Scuba course you can experience your first unforgettable breaths underwater. With an instructor at your side, you can dive in confined water without any worries and experience the magic of scuba diving. At the end of this short course, you will have earned your SSI Try Scuba certification card and can hardly wait for your next dive. Your tanks need to be pressure tested again? We'll do it for you. Latest deadline: 07.04.2026 We offer recurring pressure and internal inspections of your diving equipment several times a year. If required, the valves of the tanks can also be checked. If necessary, the inside of the equipment can also be sandblasted or painted. Take an Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty course if you want to shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time. You'll spend more time exploring your favorite dive sites instead of waiting! With the course you will expand your diving knowledge to plan safe dives with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. After completing the course you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification for 32% or 40%. The price shown is the RRP for the SSI kit

This year, as every year, we are carrying out a lake cleaning campaign together with the local clubs and diving schools. Armed with collecting nets, we scour the Dankern lake bathing area and collect all garbage that could be dangerous for bathers. We are happy to welcome any volunteers who would like to lend a hand in, on or under the water.

Night dives require very different skills than daylight dives. The SSI Night Diving & Limited Visibility Specialty course is the best way to learn all about night diving and practice the techniques required to make you a safe and confident night diver. This course will give you all the knowledge and skills to dive safely and relaxed at night or in limited visibility conditions. In a balanced mix of online learning and open water dives, you will learn how to use special equipment, the correct entry and exit techniques and how to communicate with your dive buddy at night and in limited visibility. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility Specialty certification and be ready to dive into the dark with confidence.

The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your dive buddies and become an ambassador for diving by completing the Divemaster program. All you need is 40 verified dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility or at least 5 verified dives in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. Upon successful completion of the Divemaster program, you will be certified as a Dive Guide. If you want to turn your passion into a profession by guiding certified divers, teaching ecology programs, assisting instructors or even becoming an instructor yourself, your next step is the Divemaster upgrade with at least 60 logged/verified dives. You can upgrade to Divemaster immediately or later by studying the Science of Diving materials yourself and passing the Digital Final Exam, which makes you an SSI Professional. The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty course is the best course to learn how to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to recognize stress, avoid accidents and apply practical techniques for performing rescues and emergency care. With a combination of pool and open water training, you will be well and safely prepared to deal with emergency and rescue situations. After completing the course, you will receive the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue Specialty certification.

The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty course shows you how to dive beyond no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving equipment and a single scuba tank. You will learn and practice how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, such as gas exchange or gas integration, as well as remaining air time and ascent time. Using these computer functions will quickly become routine for you so that you can make safe dives with limited decompression without hours of dive planning. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty certification, allowing you to explore stunning deep dive sites or large wrecks without the limitation of no-decompression limits.
