The SSI Advanced Wreck Diving program provides divers with the necessary training to independently plan and conduct limited penetration, no-decompression dives within the sunlight area, to a maximum depth of 30 meters or a linear distance of 40 meters, and using procedures and equipment for overhead environments, with a buddy of equal or greater qualification.To advance from the SSI Wreck Diving certification to the SSI Advanced Wreck Diving certification, the student must:Complete at least one (1) shore session as outlined in the Wreck Diving program instructor manual.Complete at least two (2) additional open water training dives, including all skills listed in Open Water Training Dives 3 and 4 of the Wreck Diving Instructor Manual.

If you dive in a body of water from 300 to 3000 meters (1000 to 10000 feet) above sea level, this is called altitude diving. Most algorithms are designed to plan dives down to 300 meters (1000 feet). The Maya believed that cenotes were portals to the underworld. These mystical sites are ancient limestone sinkholes with crystal clear waters that are perfect for a unique freshwater diving experience. There are more than 6,000 cenotes in the Yucatan Peninsula. More advanced cave divers can explore the hundreds of kilometers of subway rivers in the area. The two most important departure ports for diving trips are Cancun and Playa del Carmen. You can also decide to explore only the sinkhole area of the cenote, which requires you to have an Open Water certification. Be aware that some of the cenotes may require divers to walk long distances through the jungle, which is an adventure in itself. Diving in Mexico's cenotes is definitely an awesome experience.

Description Have you always wanted to know exactly how air gets into scuba cylinders? Then this is the course for you. In two webinars, we explain the basic operation of compressors, without depending on a specific model. This includes, on the one hand, what happens in a compressor and, on the other hand, filling practice: what steps should be followed? What is the function of the filter? And what maintenance intervals should you check? The course does not include SSI material, only the SSI digital certification. There are two presentations as training material, which are also available after the course.

The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty will teach you to dive beyond the no-decompression limits. You will learn how to plan and conduct dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using a total recreational dive system and a single decompression cylinder. In addition, you will know how to effectively use the dive computer functions, including gas switching, gas integration, time to reserve and time to surface. Eventually, you will use these dive computer functions instinctively and safely perform limited decompression dives without hours of planning. Upon completion, you'll earn SSI's Decompression Diving specialty certification and be able to explore deeper dive sites or larger wrecks without the restriction of traditional no-decompression limits, multiplying your adventure possibilities.

Start today - You need to be a Divemaster or equivalent to join SSI's 3-Step Instructor Training Approach. The training process begins with enrollment in the combined Assistant Instructor / Instructor Training Course accompanied by digital learning. Upon successful completion of the Instructor Training Course (ITC), you will enroll in an Instructor Evaluation (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. The SSI Independent Diver specialty course is a course designed to train divers to dive independently, without compromising the safety factor. Self-sufficiency will be the key to this course. We will train you to always have a deep awareness of your personal and environmental condition. You will learn to plan your dives correctly, respect your personal limitations and prevent accidents in and out of the water. Independent Diver Training Independent Diver Training So who is this course for? In short, the SSI Independent Diver Specialty course is commonly requested by experienced underwater photographers and videographers who crave personal freedom underwater. However, if you have 75 logged dives or more and want to learn to dive independently, we invite you to enroll in the course. There are a couple of additional skills you will be interested in; the Stress and Rescue course is a must. Deep Diver course if you plan to dive between 19 and 40 meters deep. You will also need excellent navigation and buoyancy skills.

Some SSI training centers offer a specific "River Diving" course that covers the specific rules of conduct and movements necessary to glide through river currents and navigate smooth rocks and freshwater wildlife. Key skills taught: Navigating different current intensities. Specific rules of conduct for water transport. Freshwater ecology and wildlife identification. Handling the limited visibility often found in river systems.

The SSI Classified Diving Program offers adaptive training for students with reduced mobility or sensory impairments, allowing them to dive with one or more Classified Dive Buddies or a Classified Dive Professional. What is the Classified Diving program?
