Independent Diving

The SSI Independent Diver specialty course is a course designed to train divers to dive independently, without compromising the safety factor. Self-sufficiency will be the key to this course. We will train you to always have a deep awareness of your personal and environmental condition. You will learn to plan your dives correctly, respect your personal limitations and prevent accidents in and out of the water. Independent Diver Training Independent Diver Training So who is this course for? In short, the SSI Independent Diver Specialty course is commonly requested by experienced underwater photographers and videographers who crave personal freedom underwater. However, if you have 75 logged dives or more and want to learn to dive independently, we invite you to enroll in the course. There are a couple of additional skills you will be interested in; the Stress and Rescue course is a must. Deep Diver course if you plan to dive between 19 and 40 meters deep. You will also need excellent navigation and buoyancy skills.
