Our dive centre is on the romantic Island of Murter in Central Dalmatia. Dives in the National Park Kornati, the wreck of Francesca di Rimini, Stuka and the red gorgonian in Babuljasi definitely count to the high lights of the Adriatic Sea. With our speed boats we reach fascinating, but sometimes more distant locations within reasonable time. After the dives there is enough time to enjoy the overwhelming landscape and culture above the water. We offer education according SSI guidelines from introductory dives to professional certification as well as extended range diving. We also support rebreather diving wiht a limited amount of diluent and O2 tanks. We think that a dive base should do more than guiding the group to dive sites. With our activities SEA MORE we want to transfer - together with several scientific groups - awareness and knowledge about the life in Poseidon’s Garden to our clients.

What you can expect If you expect high life, disco till late morning and crowded bars you could be a bit disappointed. What you can expect is the full Mediterranean flair: romantic bays, the smell of pine trees, a nice fish dinner in the harbour, watching a kitschy sunset and perfect dives. If you think that there are no colours in the Mediterranean sea you will be surprised. We take you to walls covered with red fan corals and colourful sponges. We show you caves and places with pieces of old amphora and sometimes dolphins join us on the way to our dive sites.

The Dive Sites/ Diving Steep walls with drop-offs to the blue are characteristic for the area around Murter and the Kornati Archipelago. Some of them are overgrown with red fan corals which gloom in an incredible deep red when you point with your torch We support a scientific group that started a mapping in October 2007 of these gorgonian walls. Not too much is known about these corals since they grow mostly below 25 m only. Wether it is the wreck of Francesca di Rimini & Stuka (where Najada Diving has one of the three official licences for the time being) or easy places with an amazing diversity of marine life – we bring you fast and save to the sites and back home again. We have documented our most common sites on our home page. Please, take a look for more detailed information. Education We offer the full SSI course program up to Divecon/ assistant instructor including extended range technical diving. Since Murter is a typical family- holiday resort we are also offer kid diving. Further we perform photo courses and rent cameras. Once a year we offer dives guided by marine biologists in the frame of our SEA MORE program. Further info: www.najada.com & fb: www.facebook.com/Najadadiving

★★★★★ Francesca di Rimini (Wreck)

Francesca di Rimini was an ammunition/cargo ship that sunk during the 2nd World War. The wreck is overgrown with sponges and soft corals. The ship is under protection and Najada diving has the license to dive this wreck.

★★★★☆ Kukuljari

The Kukuljari is a group of islands located in the SW of Murter Island. The dive sites are on the island closest to Murter with the light-house. Kukuljari offers 3 options for diving: the west side is sheltered and offers a perfect anchor ground and the northwest cape is a small cavern with colorful sponges at 22m.

★★★★☆ Kaprije

Approaching Kaprije Island the same direction you would to Francesca, on the west side you will see a small cape marking the anchor area for this dive site. Under a small platform at a moderate depth you will find soft corals and colorful sponges, ideal for beginners and for a great second dive.

★★★★☆ Kamenar

Kamenar, the “Stone-Hill,” is located E of the island Zut. An underwater rock comes up close to the surface. The upper plateau is structured in soft hills, an ideal anchor ground and a nice area for your safety stop. Though it is outside Kornati National Park it shows the same type of landscape.

★★★★☆ Balun

Balun is one of the more northern Kornati Islands. Swim to the SE till you approach the wall at 20m deep. Follow the wall with your right shoulder until you hit a ridge that goes southward. The eastern part is in 26m after a small terrace, covered with red fan corals and sponges in a unique density.

★★★★☆ Dome

The Dome is a half cave, about 50m in diameter and 50m deep. The ceiling is covered with bright sponges and soft corals. If you dive the outside edge, red gorgonians start growing at 30 meters. Probably the best dive site in Kornati National Park.

★★★★☆ Ljuta

Approach from the west until you see the drop off on the boat’s sonar. The north side of the wall has amphora and parts of old tubes. The wall is covered with yellow gorgonians. A perfect 2nd dive after diving Stuka.

★★★★★ Stuka (Wreck)

The Junkers Ju 87 or Stuka (from Sturzkampfflugzeug, “dive bomber“) was a two-man (pilot and rear gunner) German dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft. The plane is almost undamaged and lies upright at 25-27m.

★★★★☆ Bacvica

Behind the island of Samograd you will find a small rock protruding just above the water level. A wall running from NW to SE offers you an underwater landscape with two amazing gorgonian walls.

★★★★☆ Kamicac

The lightfire of Kamicac is opposite to Slanica Beach. Anchor in the shallow part in the NE corner of the island, as close as possible to the drop-off.

★★★★☆ Visovac

Leaving Murter, toward the west, Visovac is the first island you will see. Look for a white cubic stone on the east side and anchor in front of this stone. The dive site covers an area of approximately 100m x 100m and is nicely structured.

★★★★★ Plic Grmeni

The drop-off is in 24m at an eastward direction. Dive down the slightly overhanging wall. At 42m you see the remains of an approximately 35m long ship. All wooden parts are rotten, but many metal parts are lying around. Left and right of the wreck are impressive gorgonian hills & fields.

★★★★☆ Kablinac

This dive starts south of a small rock next to Kablinac. After some fin-strokes above sea grass you reach a sandy plateau. The wall starts next to it in approximately 20-25 m of water. The wall goes around the island from SW to SE. Follow it with your right shoulder and you will find yellow gorgonians, to your left you will find red ones.

★★★★☆ Kasela

A very nice underwater landscape. Dive over the drop-off, and on your left side you will see nice hills overgrown with Carophyllia. In about 20m a ridge branches off. Follow the hill until you find many different colored gorgonians in 35m of water.

★★★★★ Plavi Jadran

In February 2018, a ferry boat collapsed with Plavi Jadran, which sank immediately. All crew members were able to save themselves. It lies at 20m and can therefore be dived by beginners.
