Explore Koh Haa
Ko Haa, meaning “five islands”, boasts some of Thailand’s best diving. What makes it so special is that its remoteness keeps it free from crowds and mostly untouched, while still being close enough to visit by boat.
Offering plenty for beginners and experienced divers alike, including some of the best macro sites in the area and year-round stunning visibility averaging around 25 meters, the 12-or-so dive sites boast healthy reefs, breathtaking drop-offs, walls, boulders, pinnacles and caves, shallow lagoons and intensely vibrant marine life.
The scuba diving highlights here are The Lagoon, The Cathedral and The Chimney, which are the most popular sites. Experienced divers can marvel at deep caves, while beginners can take their first underwater breaths in the relaxing lagoon reefs. With lots of varied training sites, it’s a great location to take dive courses, from entry-level to advanced courses.
Dive centers and resorts based in nearby Koh Lanta are frequent visitors to Koh Haa, though some liveaboard cruises from Phuket and Krabi too. Liveaboard safaris often include the island as part of a tour of the best dive sites in the Andaman Sea, which include the King Cruiser Wreck, Shark Point, Anemone Reef, Koh Doc Mai, Koh Phi Phi’s Bida Islands, and of course, Hin Daeng and Hin Muang.
