Explore Koh Yao Noi

Koh Yao Noi is the smaller of the two main Koh Yao islands, situated in the middle of Thailand’s Phang-nga Bay. The location is untouched by mass tourism, and as a result, still enjoys a very quiet, relaxed island vibe, and displays true traditional Thai island living. Characterized by small Thai villages and surrounded by silky sand beaches and pristine tropical waters, it’s the perfect getaway for those wanting something unique and special, away from the crowds.

Scuba diving can be done with any of the reputable dive centers and dive resorts on the island. They offer boat trips to multiple destinations, including the famous Phi Phi Islands, Koh Bida Islands, and the iconic King Cruiser Wreck, Shark Point and Anemone Reef. Other great spots to dive include Koh Lao Hang, Koh Deang and Koh Hon.

Dive courses are also readily available, and thanks to great ocean conditions, it’s the perfect spot for newbies to obtain an open water license. More experienced divers can take advanced and specialty courses due to a number of appropriate training locations all within a boat ride away.

Diving here typically entails beautiful reef diving, with a few wrecks, caves and walls to explore too. It's fairly shallow, but there are some deep dive spots as well. Currents can sometimes occur depending on the tides, so drift diving is possible depending on the time of day and month.
