Explore Ranong
Paradise beaches and green mountainous fauna are only the tip of the iceberg in Ranong. Its diverse and sensational dive sites are thriving with vibrant marine life, and offer something for everyone.
Although it’s located in the Andaman Sea, Ranong borders Myanmar and the Indian Ocean, allowing easy access to a wealth of iconic sites in both areas. Divers visiting the region will be truly spoilt for choice, where the best of both Myanmar and Thailand is right on your doorstep.
In addition to scuba diving in Ranong itself, the beautiful islands of Koh Phayam and Koh Chang are only a boat ride away, where even more amazing dive sites await, including the largest shipwreck in Thailand - the HTMS Chang.
When diving here you’ll enjoy uncrowded sites and unspoilt reefs. Marine life hasn’t yet learned to fear humans, which enables divers to get up close and observe natural behaviors.
With plenty of dive centers and some dive resorts catering to all budgets, there’s no lack of availability. Dive courses for beginners are available, although many sites are better suited to advanced divers, as there are lots of spots that permit exciting deep and drift diving, such as submerged seamounts and plunging pinnacles.
