This spot consists of a large rock with a slit that crosses it giving the sensation of being 2 separate rocks.It is possible to pass underneath from one side to the other because there is an opening in the form of an arc.

River Gurara Proa (Wreck) (★4.1)

River Gurara MV was a Nigerian cargo motor vessel that sank on 26th February 1989 in Cape Espichel, during a strong storm. The ship broke in the middle, keeping its bow near the coast. This dive site is of the bow of the ship and has an average depth of 28m.

Pião (★4.0)

This dive spot is formed by several pinnacles surrounded by sand, but none the less full of lie. It is easy to go from one pinnacle to another because they are very close to each other.

Pedra do Meio (★3.8)

This dive site has a maximum depth of about 13m and consists of a shallow stone that extends from west to east near the exit of the port. Diving this site is very easy and you are always surrounded by life.

Arcanzil (★4.3)

Arcanzil is a rock formation located a few tens of meters south of the coast of Sesimbra, near Cape Espichel. It rises from the bottom (located at 15m) to the surface. It is rare for the top of the stone get completely submerged.

The general location of Penedos was given to us by a local fisherman around 20 years ago. He told us about the existence of these large boulders and abrupt depth changes in a relatively confined area just in front of the village of Sesimbra.

This site consists of several shelf-shaped rocks where lobsters like to seek refuge. It is nice to watch the lobster “antennas“ coming out of the shelves.

Place with several rock formations, where we can observe numerousconger eels that hide there as well as other species. It is worth taking a look at all the holes and cracks in the rocks, they are full of life.

Its name comes from the fact that there is an old communications cable, meanwhile already disabled, visible over some rock formations where a lot of life is concentrated, depth of about 20mts.

Gruta dos Pampos (★4.4)

This place is very close to our famous wreck dive site: The River Gurara. The cave has a large entrance and, as we move forward, it divides into two.

This site consists of several rock formations that develop parallel to the coast, some creeks and others of larger dimensions, among which it is possible to observe a great diversity of marine life.

Batelão (★4.1)

A small shipwreck of the barge that transported the stones appears in the construction of the new point of the harbor of Sesimbra.It is split in two but despite its small dimensions it is a very pleasant place for divers who are beginners or with less experience.

This spot consists of a lage with the shape of an airplane wing, hence its name.Although not large, it has a lot of marine life that seeks refuge there.

This is a spot reserved for technical divers. Where one can enjoy the beauty of an up which in certain places can have gaps of almost 10mts. Old coastline, located to the west of the beach Fonte da Telha.
