The Blue Oceans Program by Scuba Schools International (SSI) is a globally accessible course designed to promote ocean conservation and responsible diving practices. It’s open to everyone—from seasoned divers to curious beginners—and aims to turn participants into advocates for marine protection. The course is built around four core topics: Coral Reefs: Their ecological importance and the threats they face. Shark Finning: Why sharks are vital to marine ecosystems and the impact of finning. Ocean Plastics: Understanding pollution and how to reduce plastic waste. Marine Protected Areas: How designated zones help preserve biodiversity.
