Extended Range Foundations

SSI's Extended Range Foundations program offers you the opportunity to improve your advanced diving skills in a training workshop environment. Learn more about the use of technical diving equipment with whatever total system you are certified for and develop your basic skills to master buoyancy, trim, finning techniques, positioning and communication. The Extended Range Foundations program provides complementary training to existing certifications to improve your confidence and control in the water. All in-water sessions are conducted in a pool/confined water environment less than 40 feet deep. You will earn your SSI Extended Range Foundations certification upon completion of this program.

Dry Suit Diving

Dry suit diving provides you with unique opportunities, such as the chance to dive remote Arctic sites or explore other cold water dive sites teeming with marine life. Dry Suit diving also keeps your body warm during multiple dive days when you don't want to waste time putting on and taking off a wetsuit. SSI's Dry Suit Diving specialty program is the best option to become a dry suit diver and learn all the skills and knowledge needed to dive safely and comfortably in a dry suit. You will learn how to use specialized equipment, such as drysuits and buoyancy compensators, you will learn their main advantages and you will learn how to act correctly in case of emergencies specific to this type of diving. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Dry Suit Diving specialty certification.

Enriched Air Nitrox (40%)

As a Nitrox Diver, you'll be able to increase your bottom times and safety margins and reduce surface intervals, so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting. In this program you will learn new skills and increase your dive knowledge. In addition, you will learn how to plan and safely dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you'll earn your SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.
