The Extended Range Nitrox SSI program provides an in-depth introduction to the concepts, techniques and procedures required to plan nitrox decompression diving. Designed as a stand-alone program or as a stepping stone to becoming an Extended Range SSI diver, this enriched air diving program provides fundamental skills that form the basis of all future technical programs. Using full XR Sidemount or Twinset equipment, this program prepares divers to plan and execute limited-decompression dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters / 130 feet. In addition, this nitrox specialty diving course will teach you the techniques and procedures for using breathing gases up to 100% oxygen for decompression.

Enriched Air Nitrox (40%)

As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your dive times and safety margins, and shorten your surface intervals - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you'll learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge while learning to plan and dive safely with enriched air mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen. On completion of this program, you will be awarded SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.
