Become an instructor and live your passion Start today - To participate in SSI's 3-step instructor training program, you must be a Divemaster or equivalent. The training process starts with the combination of the Assistant Instructor / Instructor Training Course and digital learning. After successfully completing the Instructor Training Course, you will take part in an Instructor Evaluation to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This 10-day training program entitles you to teach various important SSI programs independently, such as Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide. For those who need more time to learn and want to gain valuable teaching experience between training programs, the 3 parts can also be completed individually - Assistant Instructor, Instructor Training Course and Instructor Evaluation one after the other, at your own pace and with a flexible schedule. Various Specialty Instructor seminars can optionally be booked after the Instructor Evaluation to qualify you directly for the Divemaster Instructor. Assistant Instructor Trainer and Instructor Crossover candidates can also participate in the Instructor Training Course to qualify for these levels through co-teaching.
