OWD - Equipment Workshop

Initial Open Water Diver diving course. The course starts on this date and lasts about 3 weeks (confirm the dates at registration). The course consists of a Workshop, 5 confined water modules (swimming pool) and 4 open water dives. Knowledge acquisition can be done online with the functionality on SSI's e-learning platform. The exam is taken in person or online according to preference. The course includes the use of all necessary and safe diving equipment for decompression sickness. Mandatory to know how to swim.

The SSI Try Scuba program is the best way to experience scuba diving for the first time. In this UNDERWATER ORIENTEERING course you will learn underwater navigation, procedures, techniques, planning, organization and resolution of potential problems when sailing underwater. You will also learn about natural navigation, navigation by underwater patterns in addition to estimating distances and using the compass.

In this fascinating program you will learn all the skills you need to perform search and recovery dives safely and with confidence. We will teach you how to use search patterns, specialized dive plans and underwater communication skills and you will practice using new equipment such as lifting bags, lines and reels. By developing your search skills and practicing search on a dive team, you will become a confident search and recovery diver. Upon completion of the program you will receive the SSI Search & Recovery Specialty certification.
