Becoming a certified SSI Specialty Instructor is easy. Train as an instructor and register for any specialty instructor seminar you would like to teach. Alternatively, you can teach your desired specialty course together with an experienced specialty instructor or apply directly to SSI for a review of your experience. If you teach enough specialties, you will automatically qualify for your Advanced Open Water Instructor certification.
