Recreational Cavern & Cenote Diving

Recreational Cavern & Cenote Diving

The SSI Cavern & Cenote Diving course will engage you to dive deeper into the cavern zones. With the cavern diving course, you will engage in a new way to dive, like to learn proper cave buoyancy and propulsion skills along with line laying and light usage. What's the difference between a Cave and a Cavern in scuba diving? A Cavern is this zone where you can still see the light from outside, so if at least, you can see the light at the entrance while exploring a flooded cave, you are in the cavern zone. The SSI Cavern Diving course is the first step to become a Cave Diver if you want to explore, one day, the depth of the Earth. The Cavern Diving class will teach you the knowledge and will give you the experience required to do cavern penetration dives within the light zone of a cave (the maximum depth will depend about your level certification).
