The Widdauen Lakes were created from a former gravel pit. Diving depths of up to 27 meters can be reached. The entire site offers a good infrastructure with toilets, barbecue areas, spacious shelters and a good supply of parking spaces.

You can find different species of carp, perch and walleye, numerous freshwater crayfish, eels and large catfish. The shore area is lushly overgrown.
