Where lime was mined 6 years ago, today a dreamlike lake stretches out. On an area of about five hectares and with depths of up to 54 meters, it currently offers five dive sites everything that makes the diver's heart beat faster. With fantastic visibility, mostly over 10 meters.
A lake to fall in love with! There is a large parking lot, WC, and snack bar. The vegetation and many different fish are a pleasure! Suitable for beginners to advanced divers and night diving with the appropriate certification every Friday.
One of the most famous deep dive sites in NRW. The maximum depth is around 42 meters. There are many training platforms at different depths. The local diving regulations must be observed. There is a detailed diving map on the website.
A shallow entry directly from the campsite after a short dive time in the direction of the middle of the lake you reach a wonderful steep wall which drops to about 34m at full water. Dive site subject to registration
Panheel is the diver’s El Dorado in Holland, just over the german border near Aachen. It offers possibilities from the beginner to the experienced diver. Many gadgets such as an Apache helicopter, a pirate ship (completely submerged), atc, specially made for the lake and sunk.
Beginner friendly dive site with a maximum depth at full stow of 26m. Flat sloping bottom makes slow descent easy. The dive site is located in a protected bay and is marked with pre-installed buoys.
A flooded shale mine in the Sauerland offers the possibility to dive in an open area or, with the right training, to dive deep into the old mine.
20 metres deep, 10 metres in diameter and over 3,000,000 litres of water. The visibility here is of course excellent. It remains the ideal place to practice, try out and train over the winter.
This lake in the mountain is beautifully situated right on the mountain. The water is clear and rather cool. The training to become a Deep Diver is especially fun here. You could go down to a depth of 45 meters and with 480 meters of altitude, this is considered an altitude dive.
Quarry pond with large diving area, right next to the A57, exit Dormagen, access is somewhat hidden on a small farm road, filling station by GTM - diving on weekends, registration for diving during the week via cell phone, on WE directly at the lake.
The Hitdorfer See is a former dredging lake just under 10 hectares in size; 473 meters long and 273 meters wide. The maximum depth is 18m. Due to gently sloping banks, the lake is suitable for beginners to dive. There are two training platforms at 5m and 9m depth.
10 meters deep, indoor pool with leisure pool and lovely sauna area. The visibility here is of course great. The ideal place for practicing diving skills, freediving and staying in training over the winter.
The lake is no longer managed by the diving center Jürgens-Tauchschule, as the city of Monheim has terminated the rights of use. There is no further diving operations.
The Widdauen Lakes were created from a former gravel pit. Diving depths of up to 27 meters can be reached. The entire site offers a good infrastructure with toilets, barbecue areas, spacious shelters and a good supply of parking spaces.
