The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty course shows you how to dive beyond no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving equipment and a single scuba tank. You will learn and practice how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, such as gas exchange or gas integration, as well as remaining air time and ascent time. Using these computer functions will quickly become routine for you so that you can make safe dives with limited decompression without hours of dive planning. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty certification, allowing you to explore stunning deep dive sites or large wrecks without the limitation of no-decompression limits. In this sidemount diving course, you'll learn everything you need for recreational sidemount diving with one or two scuba tanks to a maximum depth of 30 meters or to your certification depth, whichever is deeper. Sidemount diving is already a common practice for wreck, mine and cave divers, but now more and more recreational divers are discovering its benefits. You don't carry a heavy tank on your back, feel more comfortable in the water and improve your water resistance and trim. You use less energy, can reduce your gas consumption and thus make the most of your diving time. With better buoyancy control, easier access to valves and more redundancy, sidemount diving offers safety and satisfaction. This is the best sidemount diving course to discover and enjoy the enticing benefits of this style of diving. You will learn all the skills and knowledge you need to dive safely and comfortably with single or twin cylinder sidemount equipment.

Many interesting dive sites are deeper than the Open Water Diver depth limits. These sites are usually very attractive, but require special knowledge of dive planning procedures and methods. At the end of the course you will receive the SSI Deep Diving certification.

Although normally you will always dive with a buddy, there may be reasons why experienced divers choose to dive solo (e.g. underwater photography). It is more common to be involuntarily separated from your buddy while diving. During the SSI Independent Diver course you will learn about the potential risks of solo diving and develop the necessary skills and abilities to dive independently, responsibly, autonomously and safely, while becoming a stronger buddy partner or team member on your dives. You will practice how to help yourself in different situations and learn how to adjust and check your equipment for solo dives. This course is therefore particularly interesting for the following groups of people: divers who travel a lot, ambitious divers, wreck divers, photographers, videographers and all dive professionals.

The SSI Extended Range Wreck Diving program provides you with everything you need to plan and conduct wreck dives in the daylight zone to a depth of less than 40 meters. Learn how to use specialized wreck diving equipment, gas management and buddy team skills to safely conduct wreck dives. As a certified extended range wreck diver, you'll go deeper into shipwrecks than ever before and discover a whole new world of exciting exploration.

The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver program allows you to gain new, interesting and practical experience. You can choose five dives individually from a variety of specialties without having to take a full course in those specialties. If you are not sure how you want to develop as a diver, the SSI Advanced Adventurer course is the best way to improve your diving skills and experience and to find out which specialties might interest you. If one of the dives is from the Deep Diving section, you will extend your depth limit to 30 meters. Your dives will of course be credited if you decide to complete one or more of the specialties.
