The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver program allows you to gain new, interesting and practical experience. You can choose five dives individually from a variety of specialties without having to take a full course in those specialties. If you are not sure how you want to develop as a diver, the SSI Advanced Adventurer course is the best way to improve your diving skills and experience and to find out which specialties might interest you. If one of the dives is from the Deep Diving section, you will extend your depth limit to 30 meters. Your dives will of course be credited if you decide to complete one or more of the specialties. And I'm sure you know that animals that are on land during the day sleep at night, but who or what is on the move then? dives with limited visibility can be an adventure both during the day and at night! Night dives allow you to discover things you will never see during the day. Many sea creatures hide in bright light or sleep during the day and only become active at night. Occasionally you see more and more divers who no longer dive with one or two tanks on their back (backmount), but carry the tanks on their side (sidemount). But why do they do this and are there any advantages over the other system? sidemount diving was developed by wreck and cave divers, for whom the most hydrodynamic position possible was important in order to fit through narrow and small passages. In the meantime, more and more divers are discovering the advantages of this diving style, which is characterized by more relaxed buoyancy control and better freedom of movement without the tank on the back. As this system requires different handling than conventional systems, it is important to learn how to use the sidemount system correctly and safely.
