Hunsfels

Where lime was mined 6 years ago, today a dreamlike lake stretches out. On an area of about five hectares and with depths of up to 54 meters, it currently offers five dive sites everything that makes the diver's heart beat faster. With fantastic visibility, mostly over 10 meters.

The shallow water area of our Hunsfels (dive site 1) is overgrown with water plants and is home to all kinds of young fish (perch, pike-perch, trout etc.).

Deep Diving

As a deep diver, you have the unique opportunity to explore some of the world's best dive sites and most popular marine life. There is so much waiting for you in the deep blue sea. In a balanced combination of theory sessions and open water dives, the SSI Deep Diving Specialty course will teach you everything you need for dives between 18 and 40 meters. You will learn how to plan and safely carry out your deep diving adventures and how to get the most out of your deep dives with the help of dive computers and gas consumption calculations. Upon completion of the course, you will receive your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore the most beautiful deep dive sites wherever you want. This SSI Specialty is also a prerequisite for other advanced training courses, making it the next logical step in your diving education.

Stress & Rescue

The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty course is the best course to learn how to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to recognize stress, avoid accidents and apply practical techniques for performing rescues and emergency care. With a combination of pool and open water training, you will be well and safely prepared to deal with emergency and rescue situations. With the enactment of the new public use regulation in May 2004, the leisure use of the Binsfeld Lakes was newly regulated. This particularly concerned divers with technical equipment. The Haselbacher See is a flooded former open cast lignite mine. It is located at the state border of Saxony / Thuringia and is used differently. On Saxonian territory, the water sovereignty lies with the DAV - Saxony as tenant. The Thuringian part is used for water sports and tourism.

The Widdauen Lakes were created from a former gravel pit. Diving depths of up to 27 meters can be reached. The entire site offers a good infrastructure with toilets, barbecue areas, spacious shelters and a good supply of parking spaces.
