Where lime was mined 6 years ago, today a dreamlike lake stretches out. On an area of about five hectares and with depths of up to 54 meters, it currently offers five dive sites everything that makes the diver's heart beat faster. With fantastic visibility, mostly over 10 meters.
The quarry in Wildschütz has a nice shallow water zone for recreational divers, many fish. The deep pump house at about 70m depth only for technical divers. In addition to many artificially sunk attractions, you can still see a lot from the active time of the quarry.
The quarry pond Untergrombach (Metzgerallmend) is located in the district of Kalsruhe. At its deepest point the lake drops down to 24 meters. Out of special consideration for the animal and plant world, this quarry is divided into different zones. Please use the diving board.
Kreide-See is a well known and popular diving lake. In former times chalk was mined here. The roads, the vibrator, trucks, conveyor belts, and some machines that were needed for the mining can still be visited underwater.
A flooded shale mine in the Sauerland offers the possibility to dive in an open area or, with the right training, to dive deep into the old mine.
This dive site is suitable for experienced divers, but not for beginners. The smooth wall ends at about 80 meters. Mastering perfect buoyancy is an absolute prerequisite.
This lake in the mountain is beautifully situated right on the mountain. The water is clear and rather cool. The training to become a Deep Diver is especially fun here. You could go down to a depth of 45 meters and with 480 meters of altitude, this is considered an altitude dive.
In the shallow water area, the dump is nicely overgrown and ideal for beginners and practice dives. Visibility can be between one and 15 meters, depending on the weather and current at the dive site. On the steep wall, the visibility is usually good.
Lake Constance is well known to everyone, but even many divers do not know that the Jura, one of the most beautiful freshwater wrecks, lies at a depth of about 38 metres. It is one of the oldest still existing paddlewheel steamer ships in the world! It sank in 1864 after a ship collision.
