★★★★☆ PetroStar Cove

Tucked between the city pier and PetroStars mooring dock, this cove is the preferred winter training site of Test The Waters Dive Center. General access is at the kayak launch on the right side of the cove. Test The Waters has private access through the PetroStar access ramp on the right side of the cove.

★★★★★ Hidden Lake Boat Launch

This is a very easy entry lake with a rocky bottom and usually about 20’ of visibility. Lots of boat traffic so be sure to bring a float. The deepest spot is 70ft.

Shallow grassy boat launch entry. Average visibility 15’. As always, dive flag a must since this is an active lake with boat traffic and float planes.

Weigh station is a roadside pond, barely five minutes from the nearest dive shop. There is a platform at 20 feet for skills training and a mid size gravel parking lot. Visibility changes seasonally.

The Lathrope high school pool. Well maintained, big locker rooms, friendly available staff. The waters has access to two pool lanes along the far side of the pool by the diving boards.

Summit Lake is located above the tree line on the south slope of the Alaska Range between miles 192 and 196 of the Richardson Highway. The dive is at an altitude of 3300 ft

A few minutes outside of Fairbanks headed north up the Elliot highway. There are multiple shore entry points and this dive site is surrounded by camp ground parking.

The Valdez high school pool. Very well maintained, clean locker rooms, friendly available staff. Pool deck includes a water-slide and a warm water kiddy pool that s great for getting rid of the chills after a long scuba training session

This is a great training dive site. This lake is shallow and warm with a big open parking lot and easy shore access. The dive site is next to a boat rental and launch so the water can be crowded some times.

The Waters SCUBA park in Fairbanks, Alaska is still gaining attractions including a plane, bus and scuttled boat. In the winter the pond hosts ice dives as well.
