The SSI Deep Diving Specialty combines a classroom session with open water diving to teach you everything you need to know to dive to depths from 18 to 40 meters. You will learn how to plan and safely and comfortably execute deep diving adventures, and how to make the most of deep diving with the help of computers and gas consumption calculations. Upon completion of this course, you will receive your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification, allowing you to explore the beautiful deep sea dive sites of your choice. This SSI Specialty is also a pre-requisite for participation in advanced training and is the next logical step in continuing your diving education.

As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom time and safety margins, and reduce your surface rest time. This gives you more time to explore your favorite dive sites and less time waiting for your next dive. In this program, you will learn how to safely plan and dive with gas mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen while learning new skills and increasing your dive knowledge. Upon completion of this course, you will be eligible for SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.

Become a Scuba Instructor and Live Your Passion! To participate in the SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC), you must be a Certified Divemaster or equivalent. This comprehensive program is part of SSI's two-step instructor training approach. It begins with an instructor training course followed by a combination of immersive digital learning; after completing the ITC, students take the Instructor Evaluation (IE) to become an SSI Open Water Instructor. As a certified instructor, you will be able to independently teach all major SSI programs, including Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue, and Dive Guide. Need more time or want to gain hands-on experience before becoming an instructor? You can take the Assistant Instructor portion of the course as an independent step. The SSI Basic Freediver Course is your first step into the peaceful and exhilarating world of freediving. In this entry-level program, you will learn how to freedive safely with your fellow divers in a pool/ confined water area up to 5 meters deep. Through a combination of online training and in-water practice sessions, you will gain all the skills and knowledge you need to become a confident freediver. Upon completion of this program, you will earn your SSI Basic Freediver Certification.
