Wreck of a tugboat sunk in the 2000s. Boat lying 6m deep on a sandbank surrounded by a turtle meadow. Ideal site for introduction to scuba diving or freediving.
This dive site is located just off the small sand island of Gili Kapal, about 20 minutes from the mainland. The maximum depth is approximately 35 meters.
The dominating features on this site are a series of long ledges that resemble steps. These steps lead up from a depth of 22metres flattening out at 16 metres. The ledges jutt out, creating deep and narrow crevices in places. Being out in the channel the site can experience strong currents.
Tokakin Sone on Iriomote Island is one of the top big-fish dive sites, named after the frequent sightings of isomaguro (dogtooth tuna). With a 15m-deep mountainous root, it’s ideal for drift diving. Barracuda and bigeye jacks are also common. Beginners can join, but must be cautious of strong currents.
Our “house Thila” is located just a 5 minutes boat ride to north, in the middle of a wide Channel. The top of the Thila is 8m below the surface. In the east a sandy slop is falling down to 30 meters the north and the south corner have overhangs and reef blocks on 25 meters. The Thila is exposed to current.
In the middle of the Naama Bay lays this dive spot with coral blocks in 2 to 40 meters depth surrounded by sea grass areas. Here is nearly no current to expect and since the dive spot is in a protected area without boat traffic the marine life is very diversified.
this dive site is beautiful coral and very near from Pramuka Island. Its easier for beginner (open water) and you can find turtle around this site
The closest coral reef to Elgouna, no more than 30min away. The shallow depth at the beginning makes it a great site for conducting courses and introduction dives. This site is very beautiful for the snorkeler as well. Many times you will see dolphins and eagle rays here.
Gota Iris is the last block from Shaab Iris. Shaab Iris is located in the Abu Nugar region, which is about 1.5 hours from El Gouna and consists of a main reef and many coral blocks. The average depth is 14m.
Poseidon is in the south of Shaab El Erg which is about 1h 15min east from El Gouna. Its a beautiful coral garden where you can find often big groups of fish.
Under 1h from El Gouna to the south you can find the beautiful reef block of Shabha. The top of the reef starts just under the water’s surface and extends all the way to the sandy bottom just 14m deep, making this a shallow dive. To circle the entire reef will take you about 1h. On the east side there are also some pinnacles.
Easy dive along the coast; max. depth: >40 meter; distance: about 15 minutes in north of Port Ghalib. Boat diving. mostly slight current from north to south.
A great shore dive that is located 11km from Marsa Alam. There is easy access to the water in a bay format, suitable for entry level and experienced divers alike. The reef extends to the north and to the south where the bay divides; you can decide which direction to go...they are both good dives.
Marsa Shagara is a bay with an easy sand bottom entrance that leads to South or North reef dives. The depth starts at 1m and drops to 40m + outside the bay. It is one of the most pristine house reef dives in the south. This dive is great for entry level and experienced divers.
Dive site is 10min by boat from Marsa Alam marina. The perfect place for a drift dive around the reef. Nice, colorful coral all around plus a small, old wreck to explore.
About 30 minutes from the coast by boat. The main reef extends to 14m deep. The south side goes to 20m. There is little current but due to its size, it can be a bit windy and is not always approachable when winds are strong.
Entrance: beach/ shore, depth up to 12m, after approx. 180m relaxed from the beach, well suited for Scuba Skills Updates and Try Scuba.
An easy dive without much current, therefore suitable for beginner divers. From Tobia Kebir, you can make 3 different dives. Also diveable in bad weather.
Circle Divers Dahab House Reef Is one of the most unique, unknown dives in Dahab located right In-front of the diving center located at Jazz Dahabeya Hotel. The dive starts at the sandy entrance and is a very easy entry for all diving levels.
With daily boats from Travco marina and only a 35 minute ride, Anemone City is full of colorful hard and soft corals. The dive starts at 1m depth and slopes to a max depth of 65m. This dive is for more experience divers were mild to strong currents can be experienced.
Tower is a spectacular dive site characterised by a deep canyon whose walls descend vertically for over 120m. It is a lovely drift dive with a strikingly beautiful underwater landscape.
The boat jetty and the entrance to this house reef are only 30 m from the base. The most beautiful part of the bay is reserved for divers and swimmers and secured by a buoy line. This beautiful house reef offers something for everyone down to a maximum depth of 15 m.
Spectacular rocky formations, tunnels and caves will surprise us at this dive spot. It is recommended to do it from boat because the access of emergency teams is so difficult, jus in case is needed.
The dive spot of Pasito Blanco is situated about five minutes from the sports beach in Pasito Blanco at the south of the island. The sea floor is like a rectangular morphology up to 60 meters long and 16 meters wide. A visit to Pasito Blanco to explore all the nooks and crannies can reveal a whole variety of life.
Easy access to the water, with family plan nearby. Easy dives for all levels, because thanks to the verticality of the island, you have both shallow and very deep areas from the same entrance to the water. Variety of routes from the same access point.
An easily accessible shore dive location with areas of shade and parking not far from the entry point. This is a large dive site so it never feels crowded here.
Named for the old slave huts located here. Easiest entry is from near the second hut. Cross a long sand bank to reach the coral area. Look for eagle rays in the shallows.
Joanne’s Sunchi (or Joanne’s Kiss) is a beautiful dive site with a deep dropoff. Along this dropoff where a lot of coral grows, there are sand ridges that extend to depth.
A great shore dive accessible from a quiet, calm beach out of the way of most of the tourist action. There are plenty of parking spaces, lots of shade, and benches to set up your gear on. Although a bit of a swim, the reef is healthy a beautiful.
The best dive site on the west side of Curaçao, only accessible by boat. At both sides of the gorgeous hard coral reef are two sandy patches filled with large soft corals. The massive hard coral reef starts at 5m / 15ft and gently drops to 20 m/70 ft where it becomes a sandy bottom.
Nice house reef with a north and south side. Easy access from the beach. No boat traffic! No current and diveable in any weather. Night and early morning dives are possible daily!
The area of Varadero, on the northern coast of Cuba just east of Havana, boasts great reef diving, wall, wrecks, night, cave, and deep dives. There are also spectacular snorkel spots as well.
Located in the middle of the coral triangle at Bunaken National Park, this dive site is a wall dive thriving with marine life like beautiful corals, sponges, and more! Perfect for freediving, scuba diving, and snorkeling as well.
If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all this is it. A quiet little town with great sub-tropical pacific diving. The beach is beautiful and the sunken ship just offshore is the main attraction for divers.
Also known locally as “The Tower”, it is located approximately 12 miles east of Rudee Inlet (Virginia Beach) and north west of the Virginia’s artificial reef. The structure consists of four huge legs extending into the bottom.
A fantastic dive site that can be accessed by daily boats or as a shore dive. Shallow with a sloping bottom toward a north or south running reef. The south reef can be reached by Zodiac or from the shore.
Narrow entrance with a sandy bottom. Nice coral. A good dive site to make drift dives from the zodiac on the North Anemone City. Good for experienced and beginner divers.
Located East of Praslin island, approximately 15-20 mins boat ride from the dive centre, time may vary depending on the weather conditions. The dive consists of submerged granitic rocks to which there are sponges and corals gripped onto them . Average depth 15-22 metres.
Dive amongst these rocky islands between Praslin and La Digue with depths of 5 to 25 meters. There is much life in these canyons. A beautiful dive. You may need more than one dive to get to see everything this site offers.
A very unique dive, Airplanes is accessible by either boat or shore and boasts not one, but two decommissioned airplanes sunk as artificial reefs. The Convair 240 is a 40 seater aircraft 74 ft long sitting in 80 feet of water (it moved deeper than it originally was after a hurricane).
The Canyon is located 1.5km from the Blue Hole. Another geographical marvel, it is a deep fissure in the reef that you reach after entering a shallow lagoon and swimming along a coral garden plateau.
This “Thila” is in the middle of the kandooma kandu. From 2000 to 2009 this dive site was ranked world 10th place of shark diving. The top of the reef is full of hard corals. The sides of the “Thila” are covered with soft corals. The currents are strong here and highly recommend for Advanced and Nitrox divers.
The Middle Garden is an easy and nice dive site, suitable for every level of diver and snorkelers alike. There are sandy roads and as well a drop off. This site has a mooring line.
Done as a boat drift dive or from shore, this dive site offers lots of color and marine life as well as great topography. From the shore, follow the reef on your left for a deep wall dive, but watch for the current at the corner. Follow the reef to your right, you’ll have the bottom beneath you at around 32m.
Kelp beds on the outer edges of the slope are popular fishing spots and great for observing seals, dolphins, birds and fish. Beyond the slope the bottom takes a sudden and 500-foot (150 m)-deep plunge into the La Jolla Canyon. The canyon reaches depths of 600 feet (180 m) within the park.
The reef wall drops away to a sandy plateau at about 13m, at the center is a gully with swim throughs at 10m and 35m. There is an eel garden to the north.
This dive site is suitable for all diving levels as well as snorkelers. Here you can either do a mooring or a drift dive. This site contains a sandy plateau and drop-off covered with many pinnacles and coral blocks.
In front of Salang, in the deepest part of Soyak Island, are two wooden wrecks covered with soft and hard coral. You must have a deep diver certification.
Entry: use the alleyway next to The Marine Room Restaurant. Careful during higher tide as the water will wash on to steps. Sandy bottom, stays 3-5 meters for at least 100m out from shore.
Gordon reef is most famous for the wreck of the “Loullia” which ran aground on the northern end of the reef in 1981. This dive can be done as either a drift or a mooring dive, mooring on the southern side of the reef.
