This specialty course provides you with the knowledge and advanced skills you need to navigate safely and confidently underwater. You will learn the correct use of the compass, natural navigation techniques, estimating distances, leaving and returning to a given point and simple navigation patterns. You will also learn how to combine navigation techniques to optimize your diving experience. All of this will sharpen your underwater observation skills, increase your diving safety and help you get the most out of every dive. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Navigation Specialty certification.

Extend your rangeThis SSI Specialty needs 3 training dives that need to be completed in order to get certified. Please note that those have to be booked separately. We have a range of beautiful dive sites very close to Guraidhoo that are definitely worth seeing from a deeper perspective! If you are certified for diving with Enriched Air Nitrox we will even give you the nitrox tanks free of charge, to have even longer bottom time.Please contact us to schedule your course accordingly.Deep DivingAs a deep diver, you have the unique opportunity to explore some of the world's best dive sites and most popular marine life. In a balanced combination of theory sessions and open water dives, the SSI Deep Diving Specialty course will teach you everything you need for dives between 18 and 40 meters. You will learn how to plan and safely conduct your deep diving adventures and how to get the most out of your deep dives with the help of dive computers and gas consumption calculations. Upon completion of the course, you will receive your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore the most beautiful deep dive sites wherever you want. This SSI Specialty is also a prerequisite for other advanced training courses, making it the next logical step in your diving education.

This includes heart diseases (e.g. heart disease or high blood pressure), respiratory diseases and injuries (e.g. asthma, pneumothorax and lung diseases), conditions that can lead to unconsciousness (e.g. epilepsy and diabetes).
