The “Haunted Mansion” at Lake Motosu, is a freshwater dive site centered around a massive sunken tree. Entangled algae give it a ghostly, mansion-like look underwater. At 900m altitude, it’s a high-altitude dive requiring special buoyancy control. Expect to see black bass, catfish, and even nudibranchs.
It features a freshwater ecosystem with black bass, catfish, crocodilefish, ayu, wakasagi, carp, Japanese carp, sculpin, threadfin bream, and macro life in sunken trees and plants.
