Dive Swansea is located just 60 meters from one of Australia’s best shore dives the Swansea Bridge, making it the place where Scuba divers from the East coast of NSW and also come from around the world to explore, snorkeling, freediving, scuba diving and learn to dive.
Learn To Scuba Dive Several bridge structures demolished over the decades have created a significant artificial reef which has attracted an abundance of marine life. Dive Swansea is surrounded by dozens of great shore dives from the Swansea Bridge to a Drift dive in the Channel, Catherine Hill Bay Coal Loader down to Fraser park Snapper ,Honda Hole out to Flagstaff Beach and Moon Island is just 10 minutes boat ride and we have an artificial reef in 30 metres of water perfect for training.

A favourite macro critter diving site; especially for NIGHT divers. Cruising across the sloping seagrass & soft coral beds to find the pipe, which lies in between several coral & sponge encrusted mooring blocks. Easy navigation with tons of macro life. Max depth 16-18m. Best dived on high slack tide.
There are a wide variety of ways to dive Swansea Bridge. Enter from the fishing pontoon, weigh station, boat ramp, concrete ledge, or Blackneds bay. Exit points are Blackneds Bay, the concrete ledge, or boat ramp. Explore the bridge structure or the artificial reef at 18m.
Two entry options for the site - through bay or over rocks (easiest on high tide). Sandy bottom site. Shallow dive. Explore the rocks at the bay entrance or go for a swim outside the bay for more rocky structures.
Desoto Inlet is a shallow boat dive (6m – 16m) consisting of overhangs and large rocks. It gets its name from an Old Desoto motor vehicle driven off the cliff into the inlet. Desoto Inlet is on the southern side of the south point, about 80m long and 10m wide.
Chris’ Wall is a boat dive to explore along a beautiful wall. This dive can be catered to experience levels of divers - keeping less than 20m for open water divers, or going between 20-30m for advanced divers.
The old coal loader is the dominating feature of the bay, a shallow dive that goes to about 11m. Under and about the coal loader you can find a plethora of ship chains, cables and hardware including the remains of the SS Wallarah.
Shallow dive site that is good to training and to refresh skills. Can be classed as confined water. Beach entry and contained by breakwall in the channel.
Beginner dive site - perfect for open water courses. Boat ramp/shore entry. Wall dive with a sandy bottom. Max 14m (deepest as you head to the point of the wall).
You can choose from arches to swim through, caves to explore, rocky shelves or just drift down the side of the rock where you can find soft and hard coral beds and loads of marine life!
