The “Iles de la Madeleine“ are accessible in 15 minutes from the Corniche piers at Plateau and Lougne Island has an interesting configuration for try scuba, beginners and experienced divers. For the experienced, a route allows you to discover two small wrecks in the 21 m zone
The wreck is a Chinese trawler lying on its side in a North–South orientation, with the bottom at 32 m and the top of the deck at 26 m. There is no mast. Both the cabin and the gangway can be crossed safely. The wreck’s holds can be visited by Advanced Wreck divers.
The perfect site for first dives and Try Scuba in a quite protected area, depending on the weather conditions and tide, current and swell. This site is also used for trainings, such as Stress & Rescue exercises in real conditions.
A very nice wreck at 23 m at the bottom and 13 m at the highest point, which can be entered at cabin level. A nearby drop-off is close to 30 m and it is possible to do a circuit of three wrecks in this sector (Top, KanKan, Podium).
Immerse yourself in the strangeness of the wreck of the Suzuki, learning to starboard at depth of 27 meters. Although access to the interior is not yet possible, its unique angle and the abundance of surrounding marine life make this dive a memorable experience.
Opposite the school on Gorée Island, a shallow site ideal for baptisms and Try Scuba, depending on the weather conditions, the tide and the swell. A sandbank allows you to take photos. Small flaw: not always very clean, we can raise awareness about picking up waste at sea!
The Oceanium bay is used for training in a protected environment, with still shallow water at high tide and just a few meters in front of the small dam.
Russian tralwer suk in 2005 very impressive in size, one of the largest wrecks in Dakar. Lying on its side, the upper deck rises to a height of meters and descends to a depth of 35 meters. The holds can be visited (expert)

Behind the small island of Lougne, a small tugboat with its diesel tank, a wreck 22m deep, well smashed. The surrounding rocks are full of life and the walk is worth the detour.
Opposite the Port de Soumbedioune, on the Ils de la Madeleine, a short walk that start 5m north-west along a small drop-off and leads to an area alternating rocks and sand over 12m . Ideal d-for training in a natural environment.
A 24 m rock with the Podium wreck, a Chinese boat smashed into several large pieces around 30 m long, near the old anchor and the Kankan and Top wrecks.
Small rectangular piece of a cargo wreck on the coast of Gorée Island. You can walk on it and continue on the drop off of Gorée Island. Accessible to all levels.
One of the most unusual sites is located off the coast of the Iles de la Madeleine : the Séminol Plateau, where basalt organs stand. Stretching over parallel bands ranging from 20 to 40 metres deep, these eroded, sometimes broken, promontories bear witness to ancient magmatic activities.
