San Choi are 3 fisherman wrecks sunk in 2018 to form an artificial reef. Sitting at 18m depth, the wreck is now teeming with fishes, to the extent that it blocks the sunlight. The wreck is also a cleaning station, with plenty of cleaner pipefish and cleaner shrimps offering their service to the fishes.
Tokong Laut, or Tukun Laut, is a pinnacle located off Susu Dara Besar. It is considered the ultimate dive site around the Perhentians, with a myriad of Hard and Soft Coral around the sloping wall of the pinnacle. Current can be strong, and descents are usually deep except for a few spots.
Susu Dara Islands is a pair of islands 4 Nautical Miles east of Perhentian Kecil. One good entry point into Susu Dara is to enter in the shallow channel. The Sandy bottom has beautiful coral patches, and slopes into depth, where it transitions into a wall dive. Visibility is typically good.
Pulau Rawa is primarily known as a snorkeling site, with pristine water and a powdery sandy beach. Besides, it also offers amazing diving experience around the island. Besides the shallow entry at the beach, there are rocky outcrops and boulders further out that offers amazing swim-throughs and hard coral reefs.
Pulau Serenggeh, or sometimes spelled Seringi, is an island located 3.2 nautical miles from Perhentian Kecil. The Serenggeh bay is a famous snorkeling site with a shallow reef. Swimming out from the reef, the slope increases gradually, turning into a wall dive, where eels and shrimps are prominent in crevices.
Panglima Abu reef is located off the beach of the same name. It is located off the Northwest of Pulau Perhentian Kecil. The site extends from the shore, and consists of a mixture of hard and soft coral patches. It it a good dive spot during pre and post monsoon times, being sheltered from the eastern wind.
Perhentian Romantic Beach is a dive site well suited for beginner training. Sheltered from longshore current in the bay, the reef starts from the shore, extending all the way to down south into a rocky slope.
Located on the uninhabited East Face of Perhentian Besar, Batu Caping’s main topographical characteristics is the majestic boulders and swim-throughs. With Daisy Corals at the overhang, this dive site extends into the depth of 18-20m, and turns into a sandy bottom deeper.
