The pigeons are not here anymore but the shallow depths are teeming with life, rabbitfish, and breams galore. A white marble shark sculpture reminisces of recent underwater art exhibitions and gives a startle to first-time divers! This is an ideal, very calm site for snorkelers and those starting diving training.
C-47 Dakota is a military plane wreck with a length of 20m and wing width of 30m. It was sunk by BOSAD in 2007. Its depth starts at 19m and descends to 33m. In 2010 the wreck was broken into two pieces and the body/tail part drifted deeper. The left engine was also broken as she was moving.
The Canyon - Dimtri Wreck is number one in Kaş. Fish may not always abound at this very popular site but the sights are worth it. Please do not touch anything while diving.
Orak Island is 2 hrs from Bodrum and is very famous for its deep walls. Good for all levels as well as eXtended Range dives. Another dive spot around the island is the Orak reef. Also very rich in aquatic life.
Oasis consists of a rock that rises up to 16 meters in the middle of the sand. Groupers and lagos are abundant here and are used to divers. You will find unique amphoras in the cracks of the rock. There is a wooden shipwreck just below the rock to explore as well.
This bay is very beautiful underwater and above, and also well sheltered. Sea-grass meadows in the bay are full of life, day and night. East from the small cape, bare rocks slope down gradually to 32m, with lots of life; moray eels and bigger fish at depth.
On the south side of Black island, towards Datça there is a small rock in the open sea. There are strong currents and mostly windy. West side is more suitable for diving. There is a memorial statue of late businessman Mustafa Koç and the seal named Badem rehabiltated with his support.
Being the closest in distance to Kaş makes Fener a very popular dive site. It is a very diverse site. If you head east underwater you will find the “Ottoman wreck” to explore. It has a worn wooden spine and mails at 23 meters with a large water jug.
