Explore Murter

Murter is one of the islands which lies off of the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia, in the Adriatic Sea. The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge so easily accessible. There are numerous dive centres and dive resorts on this island with diving professionals who provide both dive courses as well as guided dives to the best spots. The underwater environments here include many different rock formations such as caves, canyons, steep walls, and more. Accompanying the rock formations is a multitude of marine flora and fauna creating a rainbow coloured underwater scene. There is something to see on every dive here.

Diving in Murter

The main diving destination from Murter is Kornati National Park. Each dive site here provides something unique for divers to revel about once on the surface again. There are large and steep walls, many overhang environments to swim through, airplane wrecks and shipwrecks, an abundance of marine life and more. There are numerous dive sites which have new charm once visited at night and many dive sites here cater perfectly to dive courses.

The best Months to Dive in Murter

Diving in Croatia and in the Adriatic Sea is possible year round. The waters, however, are the warmest in the summer between June and September, in these months, the waters are also the calmest. In the winter, the water temperatures range between 15°C and 19°C, while in the summer they go up to 25°C. The visibility is above average, between 10 and 30 metres, leaning mostly towards 30 metres.
