Explore Rawa Island
Rawa Island is one of the collection of islands located approximately 20 kilometres off the coast of the beach town of Mersin, in Johor, on the east coast of Malaysia. This island is only one kilometre long but it provides divers and other visitors with a true tropical paradise experience. Top Rawa Island Dive Sites
The Jetty
The Jetty dive site, located just offshore, features a sandy bottom teeming with seahorses and elusive Crocodile Fish. This site offers an easy adventure level suitable for scuba diving. The sandy substrate attracts diverse marine life, making it a fascinating dive experience.
The House Reef
Wrapping around a quarter of Rawa Island, The House Reef is a vibrant coral reef home to colorful fish schools and various corals, including hard and soft corals, and anemones. With an easy adventure level, it's perfect for both scuba diving and freediving, offering a visual feast for divers.
North Side Boulder Formations
Accessible by a short speedboat ride, the north side offers boulder rock formations amidst depths of up to 22 meters/72 feet. Suitable for advanced scuba divers, the area provides opportunities to spot sea turtles and reef sharks, enhancing the thrill of the dive.
South Side Exploration
The south side features diverse topographies at similar depths to the north side, ideal for advanced scuba divers. Known for sightings of reef sharks and a variety of marine life, the underwater scenery includes unique formations and vibrant ecosystems.
