The best Months to Dive in Western Province
Western Province offers year-round diving opportunities, with favorable conditions most of the time. Water temperatures range from 27°C–30°C/81°F–86°F, ensuring comfortable diving. Visibility typically remains around 15–20 meters/49–66 feet, influenced by seasonal monsoon patterns.
The main diving season runs from November to April, coinciding with calmer seas and minimal rain. However, the southwest monsoon from May to October can bring stronger winds and currents, reducing visibility and increasing waves, making some dive sites less accessible. Despite this, sheltered sites still provide diving possibilities, although it's advisable to check local forecasts before planning dives during these months.
