Andes (Wreck)
The barque “Andes“ is a three-masted steel merchant sailing ship, sailed from Trinidad on 5th June 1905 with a cargo of 1,330 barrels of pitch to be used for the paving of roads in Chile. The Andes caught fire and sank in Deep Bay on 9th June 1905.
Stingrays hang around in the sand near the wreck. Numerous reef fish abound on this 100-year-old wreck!
