Van Damme State Park

★★★★☆ (227)

A large (free) parking area leads directly to the beach. After a bit of a walk over the sand you have an easy shore entry. This site is almost always protected from the predominant swell direction. Straight out you can find a couple of pinnacles. To the north you can follow the wall of the headland.

Lots of crabs and abalone on the rocks in the sand on the inside. As you get out towards the rocks you will find a lot of urchins and some rockfish.
