Come back to Palau with us in 2027!

Ask most well-travelled divers where the best dive destination in the world is and their answer will probably be Palau. Situated around 3 hours flight south of Guam, Palau consists of around 250 islands surrounded by a barrier reef. Many of the islands form the “Rock Island” group, a series of umbrella-shaped islands surrounded by blue lagoons. Many surprises hide among the islands including Jellyfish Lake where you can snorkel with thousands of non-stinging jellyfish, the Milky Way where you can give yourself a free mud wrap treatment, and countless white sandy beaches and blue lagoons perfect for short or long kayaking trips. There is literally something for everyone in Palau, whether you like big animals, wrecks, reefs, macro life, technical diving or underwater photography.

The main town of Koror displays a glimpse of Palau history and culture, most notably; the Etpison Museum. Complete with handcrafts and artefacts dating back over a century it is well worth a visit as is the local jail. In Koror jail the Inmates proudly display their carved story boards which depict past legends and lifestyles. These can be purchased from inmates for a reasonable fee and are a unique piece of history for you to own.

This island is a photographer’s delight and is also excellent for the non-diver. Palau is, without doubt, one of the most scenic islands in the Micronesia group.

On our trip, we will dive with Sam’s Dive Tours to spot turtles, manta rays and multiple shark species, then connect with WWII history in and out of the water around Peleliu.

Dive the wrecks of Malta in the Med!

Dive the wrecks of Malta in the Med!

The combination of wrecks and history make Malta one of the most exciting wreck diving destinations in the world. From the time of the Phoenicians to the present day, Malta has a long and fascinating maritime past. During World War II, Malta became the most bombed place on earth – 6,700 tons fell in just six weeks. It is no surprise then that a large number of the best wreck sites here date from the First and Second World Wars. The Maltese islands also play host to several purpose sunk vessels, scuttled deliberately for the purpose of diving. Picture crystal clear, blue Mediterranean waters, a beautiful archipelago located in the centre of the Mediterranean. With calm conditions and fantastic visibility, warm weather and of course European hospitality, Malta is an ideal dive and relaxation holiday destination. Rich in history and culture, Malta is a location with lots to offer. But some of the islands best kept secrets are underwater. Recently voted some of the best diving in Europe, Malta offers a mix of great dive sites, easy access to sites, crystal clear and warm Mediterranean waters and a mix of great wrecks and diverse marine life. Enjoy up to 40m vis and easy conditions year round. Dive into the Blue Hole and Inland Sea in Gozo. These sites are famous for their breathtaking underwater landscapes and vibrant marine life. The Blue Hole in Gozo offers a unique diving experience with its stunning rock formations and clear waters. Just a short swim away, the Inland Sea provides a mesmerizing underwater tunnel and diverse marine species. These spots are must-visits for anyone diving in Malta. Whether you’re in it just for the diving, a history buff, or you just want to be bowled over by the rich culture and natural splendour of the island, the list of things to do in Malta, apart from just diving is endless. And since you have travelled all the way to Europe, why not extend your trip and visit Turkey or Greece or perhaps another destination you have dreamed of. Just ask Allways Dive Expeditions and they can make these arrangements for you. Whatever you’re looking for in a dive trip, with so much to see and do, a trip to the Maltese Islands is an unmissable experience for any type of traveller.
