In this specialty program, you’ll gain the skills and knowledge you need to navigate underwater safely and confidently. You’ll learn how to use a compass and natural navigation techniques, how to estimate distance, and how to depart from and return to a designated point, including basic navigation patterns. You’ll also learn how to combine these navigation techniques to enhance your diving experience. All of this enhances your underwater observation skills, improves your dive safety, and helps you get the most out of every dive. React Right is SSI’s first first-aid course and provides the training needed to act as a first responder in a medical emergency. In this flexible program, you can choose which topics to cover, including first aid, CPR, and primary stabilization techniques. You can also learn about administering oxygen in emergency situations while diving and about the basics of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). By combining theory with practical training scenarios, this program gives you the tools and confidence you need to provide emergency care. By the time you’re certified, you’ll be able to act as a first responder: administer first aid and CPR, provide oxygen, and offer AED support in a medical emergency. The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You’ll learn how to recognize stress, prevent accidents, and master practical techniques for performing rescues and providing emergency care. Through a combination of pool and open-water sessions, you’ll be well-prepared and confident in handling emergencies and rescue situations. Upon completion, you’ll earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification.

The SSI Deep Diving Specialty teaches you everything you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters through a combination of theory and open-water dives. You’ll learn how to plan and ensure the safety of your deep diving adventures, as well as how to use dive computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most out of your deep dives. Upon completion, you’ll earn your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites wherever you want.
