The SSI Divemaster course at Be Diving is the start of your career as a diving professional. It is designed for passionate divers who want to develop leadership skills, expand their knowledge, and gain real-world experience working at a professional dive center.
At Be Diving, you’ll learn much more than just the minimum certification requirements. You’ll be part of the daily operations at our dive centers in Playa del Carmen and Cozumel—two of the most renowned dive destinations in the Mexican Caribbean—participating in recreational dives, courses, cenote excursions, and marine conservation activities.

Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, and Rescue Diver certifications (or equivalent).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (within the last 24 months).
- A minimum of 40 logged dives is required to begin the course, and 60 to obtain certification.
- Medically fit to dive.
Duration
The program is flexible and can be adapted to your availability and learning pace. We recommend a duration of 4 to 8 weeks to get the most out of the hands-on experience.
