SSI Deep Diving Specialty

Expand your diving skills and confidently explore deeper dive sites with the SSI Deep Diving Specialty. This course teaches you the knowledge and techniques required to safely plan and conduct dives between 18 and 40 meters (60–130 feet) while understanding the physiological effects of increased depth.

During the course, you will learn about gas management, dive planning, depth limitations, buoyancy control, emergency procedures, and the proper use of dive computers. You will also gain practical experience through three open water training dives under the direct supervision of an SSI Professional.

Prerequisites:

•⁠ ⁠Minimum age: 15 years old

•⁠ ⁠SSI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)

Course Includes:

•⁠ ⁠SSI digital learning materials

•⁠ ⁠Academic sessions and dive planning

•⁠ ⁠Three open water training dives

•⁠ ⁠SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification upon successful completion

Equipment:

Students must use a complete scuba equipment configuration, including a dive computer. If you do not have your own dive computer, one will be provided for the course.
