Through a balanced combination of classroom sessions and open-water dives, the SSI Deep Diving Specialty course will teach you everything you need to know for dives between 18 and 40 meters. You’ll learn how to plan and conduct your deep-diving adventures safely and how to get the most out of your deep dives using dive computers and gas consumption calculations. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and can explore the most beautiful deep dive sites wherever you want. This SSI Specialty is also a prerequisite for other advanced training courses, making it the next logical step in your diving education.

In this refresher course, you’ll review and practice the diving skills from your Open Water Diver program under the guidance of an SSI Professional. React Right is SSI's emergency first responder course and provides the knowledge and practical skills to act as a first responder in a medical emergency. In this flexible course, you can choose your subject areas, such as initial assessment, first aid, CPR and stabilization techniques. You will learn more about administering emergency oxygen and using the defibrillator (AED). With a combination of theory and practical exercise scenarios, this course will give you important tools and the confidence to provide emergency assistance. Once certified, you will be able to act as a first aider, administer first aid and CPR, administer oxygen and provide AED support. The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty course is the best way to learn how to protect yourself and other divers. You’ll learn how to recognize stress, prevent accidents, and apply practical techniques for performing rescues and providing emergency care. Through a combination of pool and open-water training, you’ll be well and safely prepared to handle emergency and rescue situations. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue Specialty certification.

When diving with oxygen-enriched air, you can shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time. The course includes theory, hands-on gas analysis, and e-learning beforehand. Extend your no-decompression limit and dive more safely with an oxygen content of up to 40%.SSI Enriched Air NitroxAt Tauchsport Pape, you’ll learn some additional theory that simplifies the calculation of maximum depth, best mix, and no-decompression time through physics and decompression, so you can better understand the effects of oxygen while diving.

The SSI Science of Diving Specialty course provides you with a comprehensive understanding of the underwater world and its effects on the human body. The course serves as the foundation for most SSI Professional courses as well as for some Extended Range courses and is an essential component for deepening your diving expertise. You can earn your SSI Science of Diving Specialty certification online from home. Upon completing the course, you’ll be halfway to earning the coveted SSI Divemaster certification and will receive your Science of Diving certification.

The SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty course is the best way to improve your buoyancy and experience perfect dives. Buoyancy control is one of the most important diving skills, but as any experienced diver will tell you, it takes time to perfect. In this fascinating course you will also learn new skills to protect the underwater world, which can always be used. What is the purpose of the SSI Wreck Diver course?As a diver, you should get to know the environment in which you dive. Wreck diving has different requirements than, for example, drift diving or deep diving. In the SSI Wreckdiver course, you’ll learn about ship types and wreck types in general, as well as the specific requirements and hazards. This will allow you to dive a wreck more safely.What is the difference between the SSI Wreck Diver and the SSI Advanced Wreck Diver?The SSI Wreck Diver course lasts 1 day with 2 wreck dives, and you do not dive inside the wreck.The SSI Advanced Wreck Diver course lasts 2 days and includes 4 wreck dives. You’ll also learn how to safely enter a wreck, navigate an overhead environment, and use line exercises to orient yourself inside a wreck.How long is the course?Wreck Diver: 1 day (theory via e-learning in advance and on-site) 2 wreck divesAdvanced Wreck Diver: 2 days (theory via e-learning in advance and on-site) 2 wreck dives, line exercisesShipwrecks are like fascinating windows into the past. Every wreck offers a variety of opportunities to discover something special—and perhaps even to unravel a mystery surrounding that wreck. Wreck exploration requires the use of reels and spools, as well as solid dive planning—you’ll learn all of this in this course. Wrecks don’t necessarily have to be sunken ships; even in our area, there are interesting historical underwater sites, such as the legendary “Edersee Atlantis” or the outpost boat in Messinghausen.We are passionate wreck divers—so-called “Rust Heads”—and explore wrecks worldwide; here’s a small sample of our wreck dives. Night dives require skills that are very different from those needed for daytime dives. Here, you’ll learn how to better orient yourself at night and in poor visibility, and how to communicate with your dive buddy.
