Selecting ABC equipment requires extensive consultation and a fitting. For a rental fee, this equipment can be rented from Seahorse for the duration of the course. If you purchase ABC equipment no later than 14 days after the course ends, the rental fee will be credited toward the purchase price.

The SSI Night Diving & Limited Visibility Specialty course is the best way to learn all about night diving and practice the techniques required to make you a safe and confident night diver. This course will give you all the knowledge and skills to dive safely and relaxed at night or in limited visibility conditions. In a balanced mix of online learning and open water dives, you will learn how to use special equipment, the correct entry and exit techniques and how to communicate with your dive buddy at night and in limited visibility. This specialty course provides you with the knowledge and advanced skills you need to navigate safely and confidently underwater. You will learn the correct use of the compass, natural navigation techniques, estimating distances, leaving and returning to a given point and simple navigation patterns. You will also learn how to combine navigation techniques to optimize your diving experience. All of this will sharpen your underwater observation skills, increase your diving safety and help you get the most out of every dive. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Navigation Specialty certification.

In a balanced combination of theory sessions and open water dives, the SSI Deep Diving Specialty course will teach you everything you need for dives between 18 and 40 meters. You will learn how to plan and safely conduct your deep diving adventures and how to get the most out of your deep dives with the help of dive computers and gas consumption calculations. Upon completion of the course, you will receive your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore the most beautiful deep dive sites wherever you want. This SSI Specialty is also a prerequisite for other advanced training courses, making it the next logical step in your diving education.

The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty course is the best course to learn how to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to recognize stress, avoid accidents and apply practical techniques for performing rescues and emergency care. With a combination of pool and open water training, you will be well and safely prepared to deal with emergency and rescue situations. After completing the course, you will receive the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue Specialty certification.

The SSI Dive Guide program is based on practical application, background information and flexibility. Dive Guides can lead dive trips and guide dives for certified divers. In addition, Seahorse gives you the opportunity to work at our dive center in Kronau. This experience is unique in our region. Only Seahorse has a fully equipped dive center with an attached lake and training center.

The SSI Science of Diving Specialty course provides you with a comprehensive understanding of the underwater world and its effects on the human body. The course is the foundation for most SSI Professional courses as well as some Extended Range courses and is an essential part of deepening your diving knowledge. Upon completion of the course, you will be halfway to the coveted SSI Divemaster and receive your Science of Diving certification.

The Assistant Instructor is the next logical step after the Divemaster on your way to becoming an Instructor. It gives you the chance to gain valuable teaching experience, practice dive briefings, teach theory lessons and take over practical dive training. If you want to advance your career as an SSI Professional, you can complete the Instructor Training course, pass the Instructor Evaluation and qualify as an Open Water Instructor.

Start today - You must be a Divemaster or equivalent to participate in SSI's 3-level instructor training program. The training begins with participation in the combination Assistant Instructor / Instructor Training Course, accompanied by Digital Learning. After successfully completing the Instructor Training Course (ITC), you will take part in an Instructor Evaluation (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This 10-day training entitles you to independently teach various SSI key programs such as Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide. If you want to take more time to learn and gain valuable teaching experience between the training courses, you can also complete the 3 parts in individual steps - Assistant Instructor, Instructor Training Course (ITC) and Instructor Evaluation (IE) one after the other at your own pace and with a flexible schedule.
