The class and pool session is the first step to earning your Open Water Diver Certification. This session includes your online course, classroom instruction, pool sessions, rental gear (BCD, regulator, tanks). Our staff will help you get setup with the online course which you will complete before your first in-person class. In-person class and pool sessions are Monday and Tuesday 5:00pm - 9:00pm and Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm of the week you choose. After this session is complete you will be ready to sign up for one our Open Water Certification weekends to perform your dive skills in open water and earn your certification.

Complete your Open Water Diver Certification by participating in an engaging experience at Vortex Springs, located in Ponce de Leon, Florida. The certification weekend encompasses the following: dormitory-style accommodations for Saturday night, lunch and dinner on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday, as well as snacks, beverages, dive entry fees, instructor fees, certification card processing, and rental gear, which includes BCD, regulator setup, wetsuit, and tanks. An option to include Friday night accommodation along with breakfast on Saturday morning is also available. Throughout the weekend, participants will have continuous access to a highly trained dive instructor as they undertake their certification dives. Our Open Water Certification Weekends are designed to foster camaraderie and feature exceptional meals. Participants will obtain their open water dive certification while forming lasting friendships during this comprehensive training experience.

As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom times and safety margins, plus shorten your surface intervals - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge whilst learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will earn an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.
