Affiliated Dive Sites
★★★★★ Chetco Cove
Easy entry from the beach. Great diving to the left and right side of the bay. A little bit of a swim is needed to reach the good diving area but well worth it. Great for beginner beach entry. Viz can be low at times form 5-15ft.
★★★★☆ Lone Ranch Beach
The main dive site is out and to the left of the beach. Entry is via beach or bolder crawling. Max depth is about 50-60ft. Good for advanced and higher divers.
★★★★☆ Harris Beach State Park
Great dive from beginners to experts; this site has something for everyone. Head straight out from the beach to Bird Rock. On the southside of Bird Rock is the dive site. Max depth is about 65ft.
★★★★☆ Mill Beach
Easy entry from the beach. Great diving to the left and right side of the bay. There is a little bit of a swim to the good diving but well worth it. Great for beginner beach entry. Viz can be low at times form 5-15ft.
★★★★☆ Diver’s Hole
Parking is limited and located on the edge of a narrow road so be sure to park outside the white line. A steep trail leads to a popular location for swimmers and divers alike. A small beach provides a staging area or you can cross the river to a larger beach. This is a river dive so current is possible.
★★★★☆ Early Hole
This is a popular dive site for divers in both Northern California and Oregon. Charlie Drive or Early Hole is the name of this deep hole on a bend of the Smith River. This is a river dive so current is possible but during summer months is usually not too strong.
