Dharavandhoo Thila orients itself on a north, slightly northwestern to south, slightly southeastern axis, with its shallow end being on the south, coming up to a rooftop at around 6 meters. You’ve got a good 20-30 meters of oval-shaped reef top, which slopes gently down to a sandy bottom a bit over 20m.
Bathala Corner is a Kandu means channel, so we expect sometimes strong current/flow, that´s the reason we say it´s a dive more for experienced divers who love to dive in current. Good chance to see big stuff in action, sharks crossing the canal, eagle rays or stingrays flying around.
The Maldives has several unique “blue holes“ or chimney-like formations popular for diving and snorkeling, with one notable example being the Amilla Blue Hole on the house reef of Amilla Fushi in Baa Atoll.
The most famous manta ray feeding and breeding ground in the Maldives and the largest known in the world! Don’t miss out this fantastic spot between May and November. Whale Sharks and Dolphins pop in from time to time.
