Located in the south of Nusa Penida Island and facing the Indian Ocean, Manta Point can often have big waves. This dive site has large rock mounds which are often visited by manta rays for self cleaning, giving this site it’s name.
Located on the west-side of Nusa Penida Island, Crystal Bay has two coral reef formations separated by sand slopes. The combination of slopes and walls that form the topography at this dive site goes down to more than 50 meters and meets with large rock which is an ideal place for a cleaning station for sunfish.
This dive sites is close to the cliff which has strong water movement (surge). It is a gathering place for manta rays to filter the food collected due to the pressure of the waves from the open ocean.
SD Point is an abbreviation for ‘Sekolah Dasar’ or elementary school. It’s arguably the most diverse collection of corals in Bali. Having shelf slope bottom parallel along the beach cover with abundant corals make this site is great for Drift Dive activities. Occasionally the current can be very strong.
Project Laut’s officially designated Coral Restoration Area. The restoration area is at approximately 6m depth on a reef scarred area, but descends in a sloping fashion down into depths of 40+ meters. The dive site is typically done via shore entry and can experience strong currents, so advanced divers only.
Ped is a beautiful dive site on the north side of Nusa Penida. Ped features a sloping reef starting at 5m, descending all the way to 40m and beyond. Currents range from mild to strong.
Toya Pakeh is known as one of the best dive sites in the area. It is situated in a small nook on the north mouth of the Ceningan Channel. While currents can be strong and at times unpredictable, divers are rewarded with some of the finest coral structures and marine biodiversity Penida has to offer.
This is a wall dive near the Kaspla fast boat / pontoons. The top of the reef is damaged from the fast boat action but the deep reef is still beautiful.
