Your instructor will stay by your side at all times to manage your buoyancy and ensure your comfort underwater.At what age can someone take a trial dive?The open-water program is available to participants ages 10 and up. (An adapted program limited to 5 meters is available for younger participants ages 8 and up, in a pool setting only.)What if I want to continue after my introductory dive?If this experience makes you want to take it further, your SSI introductory dive can be credited directly toward the first step of your SSI Open Water Diver certification!

If you can't yet decide which specialty courses are right for you, take an SSI Advanced Open Water Diver course! This course allows you to learn about different diving topics before deciding on a full specialty course. It's a great way to learn what your Advanced training is all about and how valuable it can be for your diving adventures. The Advanced Open Water Diver course gives you the opportunity to try out five specialties. After a detailed briefing with your SSI instructor, you will complete one open water training dive for each specialty. This introductory diving course gives you the opportunity to discover all specialty courses. You can complete all specialty courses at a later date at any time and have your Advanced Open Water Diver training dive credited towards this.

This program allows you to discover different specialties before committing to a full course. It's an excellent way to familiarize yourself with advanced diver training and its relevance to your underwater adventures. During the Advanced Open Water Diver program, you'll discover 5 different specialties.You'll complete one open water training dive for each specialty after a full briefing with your SSI instructor.This introductory specialized diving program gives you total freedom of exploration.You can take the full course at a later date and use your Advanced Open Water Diver training to gain access.
